WikiLeaks will soon have a competition on the front of the denunciation.
Many people who resigned WikiLeaks project in the middle of conflict with the Julian Assange Organizer considering launching a new site called Openleaks Monday, Swedish newspaper Dagens Nyheter newspaper reported today.
"Our long term goal is to build a solid and transparent platform for supporting whistleblowers - in terms of technology and policy - all at the same time encouraging others to start similar projects," an organizer of Openleaks, who wishes to remain anonymous, said the newspaper. "As a short-term objective is to complete the technical infrastructure and ensure that the Organization continues to be democratically governed by all its members, rather limited to a group or individual."
Former Assange partners left WikiLeaks "style management of top down" and the Assange staff because the problems were entertaining work, the report said.
Openleaks does not directly publish information that it receives, but allow the media and other organizations to have access to the system and to disclose what they want, according to internal documents from the Openleaks. The group will serve as a neutral intermediary no programme policy, which may minimize the heat from the Governments.
"As a result of our intention to not publish any document directly and on our behalf, we expect to meet the kind of political pressures WikiLeaks is at this time," a source told the newspaper. "This aspect, it is very interesting to see how little of the wrath of politicians seems directed in newspapers using sources WikiLeaks."
The news comes in the midst of the turmoil for WikiLeaks and its public face Assange. Assange is behind bars in London on Swedish costs related to sex, which he denies.
Meanwhile, WikiLeaks site has had to rely on the mirror sites after getting disconnected by the infrastructure providers and its funding has been touched by PayPal, visa and MasterCard, put an end to accept payments in the group. WikiLeaks partisan activists have been targeted at enterprises with denial of service attacks and attacked themselves, but also started off the coast of Twitter and Facebook.
